Girls Talk- What woman can do that man cannot?
September 23, 2009, Wednesday at 11:16 pm     13 comments

Hi girls! Another week for us to share our deepest thoughts on “What woman can do that man cannot or would not do? Head on to Girls Rules to share your ideas about the topic and read other point of views.

Here’s what I can do that my partner can’t do or simply won’t dare to do:

1. Getting pregnant. Sure, guys contribute their sperm but they’ll need us (our bodies) to provide home and food to our own babies.

2. Wear high-heels: They add few inches to our height and make our legs look fab.

3. Having  PMS: Just say the words “cramp,” “monthly visitor” or “period” and men instantly let you have your way.

4. Get a manicure: Hanging at the nail salon is just a normal day for us  women but a guy getting a mani/pedi is weird.

5.Ability to dress ourselves:wearing male’s clothes make us look elfin and gorgeous but guys look like complete idiots in ours…LOL!

6. We can be groupies. We can go to toilet as a group. Male groupies are stalkers…he..he..

7. If we forget to shave, no one has to know…he..he..

8. We can freak out over a mouse without looking foolish.

9. women are more direct and diplomatic than males? : personally I experienced that usually men often skirt around the truth, we, women are more forthright and say exactly what is on our minds.

10. Women will strongly try to avoid violence. The risk of a broken fingernail is unimaginable for me!

11. Wonderful self-support systems: There are a number of pampering techniques that we can use to pick ourselves up again, such as spa, a visit at the beauty salon and the option of making a phone call to several close friends who will be on our doorstep fully armed with sympathy, chocolate and even more sympathy…

12. A definite advantage of being a woman is the option to wear makeup!

13. Women are gifted with vision better suited to distances involved with locating objects in cupboards, drawers and freezers or refrigerators.

Though I see that I had lots of things that I can do which men cannot, I still uphold to what Paul shares in Ephesians chapter 5:22, “Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. Since from the start of our marriage, I allowed my husband to make the final decisions after giving my input. I didn’t criticize him when he made mistakes and I made a great effort not to nag him. I remembered to thank him for all he’d done for us and reminded him of the way he contributes. I felt taken care of and he felt like a provider. Our respect for each other has grown and we are so much happier.

Submitting to your husband doesn’t mean becoming his slave. It means recognizing his role and putting him first. After all, I believe this is the example Christ has set forth for us; to submit to Him and recognizing who He is.

Yah i so much agree esp the 8 lol and also the last one, submitting ourselves to our loving hubbies doesnt mean we are slaves, that’S just the way it is to make them feel they are appreciated with their hard works for the sake of our future

I agree with the biblical scripture that we have to submit to our husband. In my case, while we disagree on some things, I allow my husband to have the last say (sometimes) in the argument para hindi rin ako masisi in the end.

I like your take for this week’s theme, sis. :)

I love the quote and I totally agree… it does not mean being his slave but it is what was designed. … and we have to let them be the man of the house.

great of you to remind us to be submissive to our hubbies. women empowerment doesn’t mean disobedience to God’s will di ba.

i totally agree with you on the groupies thing… one thing that guys couldn’t enjoy are girlfriends that you can do anything with anytime you need ‘em.

    mine is up too :)
