A Writer of Unsent letters

The art of the unsent letter has, without a doubt, been a successful therapeutic practice for years. Let’s spin it into some therapeutic art.

There’s a time in my life where the need to reach out, cleanse, or release something is very important. When the words can’t be spoken, or the fear of how they’ll be received is present, I found that an unsent letter is very useful.

What is an unsent letter?

An unsent letter is a tool I used to express feelings that otherwise couldn’t be expressed verbally or in a sent letter. These communications are typically written without the recipient’s knowledge, allowing me to purge feelings, emotions, and thoughts freely. I believe that unsent letters are also useful when I want to resolve a situation or seek closure when it wouldn’t necessarily be appropriate.

Little did I know that there’s a writer out there for unsent letters. She even authored the ” The Letters that I’ll Never Send meme - a weekly meme where you get to write letters about a particular subject/theme/ topic, every Thursday. I wish to join next time (that’s it if time permits me…I’m kinda occupied these days :nono: ). I totally agree with her that writing unsent letters is one of the simplest yet most powerful ways to create a healing experience for your self and for the people you love the most :star: .

Who’s she? She’s Mys (read as Mice) of Written by Mys, who loves digital scrapbooking, ebooks and dash games, reading, blogging/writing, vampires ( :question2: ), sleeping and learning ( I view her profile and this is what I got :nailbite: ). She’s the mother of Maegan and Paul. She loves contests and giveaways and joining memes (to name a few: Monday- Monday Mayhem, Tuesday- Tuesday Couch potatoes, Thursday- Girls Talk, Thursday Thirteen, Thunkful Thursday, her own meme and on Fridays- Friday Fill-Ins and Mommy Moments, Sunday- Sunday Stealing) . She has her own online shop, check it out here.

Browsing through her page, I remembered that I do visit here site before when I still have time to visit other Mommy Moments’ entrants but it was once Thoughts and Obsessions of Mys rather than Written by Mys. I like the later blog title she had. It speaks confidence and individuality. The layout presents order and cleanliness- 2 columns and easy-to-navigate dashboard.  Her posts insinuates openness and honesty as they were written out of personal experience .

Next time you wanted help to release negative feelings constructively, why not join here:

Once the negative feelings are out of your mind and unto the “online paper”, there is a sense of well being. Through this process you can uncover new options and solutions. Joining “Letters that I’ll Never Send meme” could strengthen your immune response, reduce the symptoms of depression and reduce the need to visit a doctor  .

    Greetings,

Thanks for sharing the link – but unfortunately it seems to be down? Does anybody here at http://www.fashionexplorer.net have a mirror or another source?

    Cheers,
    Charlie
