I used to see male celebrities smoking cigars but I haven’t yet seen female celebrities smoking cigars instead of cigarettes. I asked my hubby if he has seen a famous female celebrity smoking a cigar and he knew one-Demi Moore! I searched for an image of Demi Moore smoking cigar and I found that my hubby is right. Other famous female celebrities I found that smoke cigars are Jennifer Lopez, Salma Hayek, and Whoopi Goldberg to name a few.
Why cigar instead of cigarette? Maybe with the same reasons my father told me before (he used to smoke cigar when he was still working in the secular world before he became a minister) . Cigars taste good, and like fine wines, well aged spirits and gourmet food, they are a connoisseur’s experience to be contemplated and savored. The ritual of lighting a cigar and savoring the complex tastes of a well aged and properly treated smoke can be a wonderful focus for relaxation and meditative reflection on the pleasures of the here-and-now rather than on the demands of a busy schedule.
