I was glad that I found the name of Maria Venus Raj on the Ms. Universe 2010 website to represent Philippines on August 23 in Las Vegas. So it means after being dethroned she was reinstated. That’s cool! If I’m not mistaken so far the’s the only dethroned queen who was able to reclaim her crown! I believe that this fine young lady deserves to represent my beloved country. She got the brain, the height, and beauty! .Just this morning I read that yesterday she’s already started the training but 2010 Bb. Pilipinas first runner-up Nicolette ‘Nikette’ Henson is standing by in case dethroned/reinstated 2010 Bb. Pilipinas-Universe Maria Venus Raj won’t make it to the Miss Universe pageant for lack of a passport. Can’t the Bb. Pilipinas committee help her in this area? The DFA said there would be no special treatment for her. Do they sound fair?
Hey wait, I’m confused yet. I found the following statement disturbing:
The dethroned 2010 Binibining Pilipinas-Universe can only reclaim her crown if she can secure a valid Philippine passport.
“We have reassessed the situation pertaining to Miss Maria Venus Raj and have decided, for humanitarian reasons, that if she is able to obtain a valid Philippine passport, we will reinstate her as the reigning Bb. Pilipinas-Universe,” the BPCI said in a statement issued on Saturday.
I just pray that Ms. Raj we’ll be able to secure her passport soon.
Isn’t she a beauty? I’m proud to have her represent the Philippine beauty. I wonder if she ever used any acne products to attain such flawless, acne-free face?
