Come Meet Your Doppelgänger Shoe (Doppel What?)

In fiction, folklore, and popular culture, a doppelgänger (pronounced dop-uhl-gang-er ) is a tangible double of a living person that typically represents evil. In the vernacular, the word doppelgänger has come to refer (as in German “doppelt(e)”) to any double or look-alike of a person. Simply a noun which means “alter-ego”- the opposite side of a personality.

This is the style ShoeDazzle introduced to me this week. Shoedazzle is a monthly style service. Every month, for just $39.95 (only in USA and Canada…sad me….) , you receive a personalized selection and one gorgeous pair of shoes or item of your choice. The styles are selected just for you by their fashion experts. There is no obligation to purchase once you register, and you are charged only after you place your first order. In any month, you may select the Skip This Month button in your account section between the 1st and the 5th of the month and you will not be charged.

Here’s the Doppelgänger Shoe the stylist recommended to me:

If you’re like me who wondered how to wear this shoes with its double-beveled platform and lace-up styling (by the way, the shoes got a name, it’s DASH), a long-sleeved, ruched black dress will give you a touch of refined elegance; keep jewelry to a minimum to showcase this dramatic shoe.

Tadaaaa!

I love the look but I can’t wear like this in school, maybe on this year’s party to be held in a hotel, of course.

Let’s see how to style the two sides of this shoes split personality, remember Doppelgänger?
