Our men need male friends

Was watching “I love you, Man” last night when it hit me that male friends and male bonding plays a very important role in the life of men. We women were blessed that we keep friendships in a wonderful and healthy way. We could actually have active close friendships with women today that we had before we met our men. In the case of my hubby, on weekends, I allowed him to go with my brother for a gig. They rent a place to perform their musical prowess- my bro’s on lead, hubby’s on bass and the rest of their male friends do the vocals , drums and acoustic. Like women, our men need male friends to gossip . They talk a lot of things which we wifeys couldn’t relate sometimes. Some of it may be about other people and their lives. They’ll touch topics about sex and I’m sure even best male enhancement pills!

I Love You, Man is an excellent story on friendship, and what makes friendship tick. For that and its healthy dose of comedy, and a great spin on the tired romantic-comedy genre, it goes without a surprise into my list of contenders for my own top films of the year.
