Before I even get pregnant, I already received “congratulations” from my friends. Why? They thought I’m already pregnant because my tummy’s bulging. It looks like I’m 2-3 months-old pregnant! Now that I become a mother, it’s a blissful life to me but I can’t deny it that there are times that I’m distressed by the physical changes that alter my body when I got pregnant. I’m not used with these flabby arms, jiggly jelly-o-like tummy, saggy buttocks and thighs . I’m discouraged with the appearance and shape of my body . I’m too busy that fitting exercise into my daily routine is not easy and sometimes near impossible. Adding to that is the fact that I noticed that I have a slower metabolic rate after giving birth. Aren’t there quicker solutions for losing weight? One friend suggested that liposuction is one of the most popular ways of losing weight for just a quick period of time.
For those who’s not yet familiar with the term LIPOSUCTION let me enlighten you. Liposuction is a surgical procedure that gets rid of fatty deposits under the skin that exercise and diet refuse to improve. This surgery is often preferable to a tummy tuck for post partum women because there is no removal of skin, just a removal of fat, there is less physical discomfort afterwards, it is a safer procedure and there are less health risks involved. As well scars are less evident on the body and the recovery time period is much shorter than it is for a tummy tuck.
Methinks, do I really need liposuction? Yes I want to be skinny again but achieving it through liposuction scares me. I read that after you have the liposuction , there will be loose skin around the areas that were suctioned. Another procedure will have to be done to cut off the excess skin. Some says it hurts so much that it’s more painful than giving birth. This makes me ponder that there are times that one must suffer to be beautiful. On the other hand, the opinion of my husband matters to me. He said that I could get rid of fat by exercising and dieting . He would only allow me to have liposuction if I’m already in danger of dying due to obesity!
If you’re like me who’s wondering if I need liposuction, write down first your reasons on why you need it. You may need it for health reasons or strictly for cosmetic desires or the combination of the two. But before having a liposuction research first for a trusted, useful, liposuction information that will allow you to make an educated decision, and find natural alternatives or else ask someone you know who’d undergone liposuction.
