Choosing Prom Dresses: Your Personal Style Matters the most!

Prom night is the most important event of high school life especially for most girls. It’s the only time of the year where we as girls got to wear the best dress that makes us feel and look great! As early as December, we already talked and plan with our girlfriends on where to shop for prom dresses. For others, it means cutting designs from magazines and let their moms (who happen to be dressmakers) made the dress for them. No matter where we get our prom dresses, what’s important is that on that particular night we can wear the dress with our personal style. Unfortunately, in our school, we couldn’t choose our color. The juniors are required to wear dresses with any shade of PINK while the seniors are obliged to wear something that shows BLUE. If you like the spotlight, you have to shy away from formal dresses that are reminiscent of a bridesmaid’s gown! If you’ve always wanted to showcase your inner sultry siren, beaded cocktail dresses will let you dip your toes into those waters.
I got a younger sister in senior. I knew her personal style so I go online to a site that specializes in prom dresses and see what’s available. The Jovani prom dresses really made my eyes pop with admiration of the vast range of unique styles of prom dresses that will cater each girls personality. How I wish these beautiful and sexy prom dresses were available during my high school years (that was about 15 years ago). Methinks, if I could go back to my prom night, I love to wear this Jovani short evening gown style either in PINK or BLUE. This is a stunning one shoulder party dress with floral appliqués on a sheer overlay full short skirt. I’m confident to wear like this because I was as skinny as the model…LOL!
Getting back to my sister, she’s more conservative than me so she‘ll go for simple, clean lines  but classy like this knee length lace dress with pretty beading accents from Jovani.
Deep v-neckline with beaded spaghetti straps on a fully beaded bust. Ruched tulle wide waist belt. A-line knee length lace skirt with sequin detailing throughout. Shown in Nude.
While you’ll undoubtedly be able to find the widest variety of prom dresses online, it’s hard to tell from a photo whether or not a particular style will look good on you. It’s worth it to go to a local store and try on dresses that have similar lines, cuts, and features as those you’ve found online. If you find a style that works particularly well for you, you can go ahead and order it online.
Remember, the best combination you can hope for is to find a dress that reflects your personal style, makes you feel great, and lets you take a step or two outside of your comfort zone. That way, you’re sure to create wonderful memories that will last a lifetime.
