Jamie Lynn Spear was just 16 when she had, in the words of one newspaper, “the most high-profile out-of-wedlock teen pregnancy in Hollywood history.” And then-poof!- she disappeared from the public eye. Now that she’s 21, she return to the spotlight as she makes Country Music Debut last Nov.7, 2011 on a Nashville stage. On her exclusive interview with Glamour, she admitted that music has always been close to her heart. Obviously, her older sis Britney had been doing it, but she hadn’t yet found a way to express herself as an artist. What can we expect from her music? She’s honest in her lyrics than she is in anything else. It’s where she feel the most safe to express herself. She writes about growing up, her family, her daughter, Maddie, and getting pregnant.
Jamie Lynn Spears was once a kid doing a kid show (remember her as Zoey Brooks on Zoey 101?), and now we’ll meet her as an adult. This is the first time that we could meet her as a grown woman and as a grown mother making a decision about what to do in life. I think I gonna hit music stores one of these days to look for her music once she release her first album. I love country music and I wanna know more about her through her music.
Check out the video of the performance, which recently surfaced online, shows Jamie Lynn singing at the Rutledge, a live music venue on 4th Avenue South:
