I really wanted to explore winter fashion and its accessories! It’s one of the reasons why I wanted to migrate to countries with winter season like in Canada, New Zealand , Korea or Japan! Last Christmas holiday, we watched movies with Christmas theme and I can’t help noticed the female characters looking hot on winter with new trends and styles of women knitwear! It’s the piece that tends to define the entire outfit. I can’t help admiring how they look cute and cozy being wrapped in one of these snugly accessories: classic cashmere-like scarf that never goes out of style, adorable knitted ear flap beanie with tassels and and pom pom, mittens and ear muffs in bright colors. Ain’t it enjoyable to mix-and-match winter accessories with your winter boots, jackets , trench coats, sweaters and knitwear?

For my dear readers who are lucky enough to enjoy winter fashion, how are you keeping warm this winter without overlooking fashion? What accessories are you wearing?

Here are some of the women’s knitwear I find online which are perfect for winter. You can wear them around the office with tights and boots or spice it up with a long statement necklace and heels for an evening out. The result- effortlessly chic!

Grab these oh-so-warm knitwear to keep you from freezing this winter. Best part? They’re appropriate for everything from a night on the town to the office to a fam dinner. Depends on what you pair ‘em with!

Do you practically live in knitwear or sweater dresses in cold weather or do you have a love-hate relationship with them? What sweater or knitwear trends are you trying this winter? I love to hear from you girls!

Muffin tops? I have mine. You have yours. Even those I know that keep on going to gym , running, cycling or swimming several times per week aren’t free of a muffin top. Where do we get them? There are many factors contributing to how your body deposits fat, which means there are many things you, can do about it. How much exercise you do, what you eat, how much you sleep you get, hormones, genetics all contribute to how much fat you have and where it hangs out on your body.

Here are some tips to help you lose that unwanted muffin top and make you feel great in your jeans I gleaned from MySpringDay.com:

1. Don’t kid yourself- get the right size
The first trick to avoiding muffin top is to wear jeans / shorts that fit you- not too tight around that midsection. If the choice is a smaller size (with muffin top), or a larger size (without)- go for the larger size every time. No one can tell what the number is, but muffin-top is a dead giveaway that your jeans are too small.

2. Stand up straight
Part of the reason many people have a muffin top is poor posture. All that slouching allows your body to slump down into itself and smush everything out. Try consciously using perfect posture (shoulders back and down, belly button toward your spine) for 5 minutes every hour- set your watch. Then try 10 minutes at a time. Eventually you won’t even have to think about it! Pilates will also help you improve your posture and regain the length in your torso.

Don’t stretch first, do a dynamic warm-up instead.

3. Chill out and get some sleep
Stress and lack of sleep both contribute to fat being stored. Try meditation, relaxation and getting to bed earlier!

4. Think about what you eat

It’s depressing when you’re using those machines at the gym that tell you how many calories you’re burning. You’re been working your butt off for what seems like eons, only to realize that you’ve burned up the equivalent of a piece of bread! The truth is, you can never do enough exercise to make up for over-eating. Be conscious of everything you put in your mouth. It’s a lot of work to try to burn it off. And if you’re exercising to burn off that pack of Tim Tams, you’re not even starting on getting rid of your muffin top!

5. Cardio, cardio, cardio – the right kind!

Bottom line – it’s all about getting rid of the fat. If you want to get rid of your muffin top, push yourself! That muffin top is not going to move if you plod along in your comfort zone. High intensity cardio will increase your fitness faster and keep your metabolism up for longer. It’s worth the effort. Try doing intervals or some of the fun and challenging workouts.

A woman’s sense of fashion does not have to change just because she decides to become a mother. Decades ago, maternity clothing consisted of oversized dresses and loose fitting clothing. Today, maternity clothing designers have realised that it is important for a woman to still feel attractive and fashionable before, during, and after pregnancy.

Upon seeing Courtney Cox’s photo at zimbio.com with walking cane, the first thing that came to my mind is a querry if that walking cane is one of the fashion Walking canes I saw on TV. You see, nowadays not all people with walking cane means that they’re old, blind or had walking problems. Walking canes or sticks make a stylish and beautiful fashion accessory! Someone as beautiful as Courtney Cox with a walking cane surely gets my attention. The question now, is she using it as fashion accessory or a walking aid?

It turns out that Courteney recently underwent minor knee surgery, but is already back to work! Producers say that the cane will even be written in of the episodes of Cougar Town. Get well soon, Courtney!

Outfit-licious:

body-hugging peach blouse= hand-me-down from a friend, floral skirt-thrifted, belt- thrifted , flat shoe in grey-Scarlet, grey suit- thrifted

Accessories:

black nylon stockings-Lycra,black diamond-formed bracelet-Avon,black beaded necklace- Hatyao City’s local store,watch-U.S Submarine, sunglasses- Avon

The good thing about creating a visual diary like posting your daily outfit, work wear or Sunday wear is for you to be able to see yourself through a small screen if you’re gaining weight or not! For me, I’ve noticed that I’m gaining weight again. The pictures confirm that I’m getting “chunkier” and “thicker” (as hubby describes me)…lol! I have to deal with it. I don’t have the same sleek and slim body that I had ten years ago. Time, gravity, and pregnancy all take their toll on my body. I’ll be 30 this summer and I’m exploring on mixing my mature body with fashions obviously made for a younger person,do you think it looks ok? As long as I’m comfortable with it and no protest from hubby, I could strut the street with held up high…he..he…

The grey flat shoes is a great find! This is the best option I had to swoop with my high heels whilst at work or on going to church carrying a toddler. The shoes look great in ultra casual outfits like jeans, trousers or even dress. These ballerina flats are very functional that it could work as my weekend and work shoe. Though they are flats, they still look so sexy.

I received compliments while wearing this outfit to church. They said we (that includes hubby) look just like teenagers. It’s just like we’re older siblings of Hyzyd (our son)…LOL! Methinks, I should wear outfit like this every Sunday so that I always received such inspiring compliments…LOL! It’s just that getting older for me means getting wiser in all aspects of life including the way I dress. Like a fine bottle of wine, life became tastier as the years go by. So I don’t have the same body as those twenty-somethings I see in magazines or on TV. So what? I just like to re-live puberty and strive to lose weight without starving myself…LOL! I just have to remember the “3 C’s” when I dress: clean, classic, and coverage.

Covering appropriately is the key to dressing gracefully. I’m always like this even in my younger years. I prefer short sleeves instead of going sleeveless, modest necklines instead of plunging necklines and stockings help regain composure if you want to explore on wearing shorter skirts without getting conscious of how your legs look like. I recommend that you’ll invest on a good pair of Magic Knickers to give you instant slimming results, make your clothes hang better on you, and to boost your confidence .

“A woman has the age she deserves,” Coco Chanel once said. You don’t have to go under cover and dress “like a little old lady” just because that’s what your mother or grandmother did. You’re your own person.

Sunday was the best time for me to doll up and wear the best for God. We’re all beautiful creations of God and it’s up to us to accept that. If we believe we’re beautiful and specially created for God’s glory, then it will transcend to every part of our well-being. We think beautiful, we treat other people beautifully and we feel magnificent that we can’t stop thanking God for everything that He’s done with our lives. That Sunday I was grateful that finally the sun came out. The plants in our garden started to unfold their vibrant green leaves and colorful flowers . It’s time to brush off those green algae that sprouted on the curb walls .

That Sunday was beautiful and extra-challenging coz we started to study Thai intensively as I’ve posted HERE. We deemed it necessary to learn to speak, read and write Thai as soon as possible for we’ve already delayed it for years. We lived and worked here so it’s better to learn the language to better served our Thai students. My grateful appreciation goes to our dear sister Grace for willingly offered her time and effort to teach us the language. No fee was required but we need to exert perseverance , determination and patience in this quest. Wish us well.

Because of the flood, the boutique in front of our school is selling its 990 baht ($33.24) clothes down to 200 ($6.72) baht to 50 baht ($1.68) only! They’re stylish and chic and they’re not soaked in the floodwater-only about 2 inches from its hemline. I was able to buy a short sleeve dress with modern retro lines, decorated by a piquet bow on the neck in a romantic and intense shiny bright fuschia. The color is perfect for the bright color trends . It has belt at the natural waistline. The hemline falls to the knee. I’m sorry I couldn’t provide photos at this moment because my digicam’s battery is still charging but I’ll update this post as soon as possible! I also bought 2 high-waisted skirt (black and red ) because I’m a big fan of high-waisted secretary skirts at the minute. I’m now in the mood of adding high-waisted skirts to my wardrobe. These skirts have gone beyond a passing trend because they work so well for most body types. They add curves to slender/boyish figures and accentuate the waist for curvier women, for a classic hourglass shape .

See how these stars (Witherspoon, Biel, Mendez and Pannetierre) have successfully incorporated high-waisted skirts into their red carpet wardrobes? The style creates an instant hourglass effect. Unfortunately, when I wear it it’s TOO high-waisted. It should sit right around my natural waist but in my case it became like a like a push-up bra to me! Is it because my hips is wider and that makes me and the pencil skirt simply not made for each other? I just sigh and decided to give my newly-bought high-waisted skirt to a skinny friend (who looks to be taking the Most effective diet pills for women because of her sexy body that rocks!) . I’m sure , she’ll wear and own the look. I already accepted the fact that I don’t own the look and wearing them will only bound me to appear as awkward as I feel.

I watched Sex and the City 2 just recently and the four friends, Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Samantha (Kim Cattrall), Charlotte (Kristin Davis) and Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) , were always donned with the best dress and shoes the whole time. I adored Carrie’s fashion-forward ensembles. Carrie’s incredible wardrobe appears to be entirely every girls dream to have in their life time but I’ve been told that it’s unaffordable for a writer on a modest income unless she’ll have a book offer. Charlotte’s classic look is lovable. She may not be as edgy as her friends, but boy does she know how to work a structured shift dress, or a tailored two-piece for that matter. I love to follow her steps in fashion -flirty but feminine and above all always perfectly polished. On Miranda’s case, I noticed how her wardrobe filled with easy-to wear draped jersey pieces and simple chic staples in various color splashes. It’s totally fuss-free fashion but conveys power ! Miranda’s hair is gorgeous too! Oh, for Samantha – she’s sexy, sleek, and seductive and her unashamedly risque sartorial choices get me in the end. She’s a sexy singleton who loves nothing more than flaunting her figure in a super-fitted mini dress and eating men for breakfast. Among her friends, she’s the only single at age 52 and endlessly using hormonal drugs (maybe hgh or Human growth hormone is among the drugs) to help her build muscle, reduce body fat, and dramatically slow the aging process. It helps her look better even as she gets older.

Can you believe that I just knew that Lady Gaga donned a meat-inspired dress during the latest VMAS in LA? Yeah, that’s how late I am in showbiz because of school stuffs that needed to be done before September ends. I could remember however that I saw her on TV wearing that dress but I didn’t pay much attention on it and I never thought it’s meat! Lady Gaga’s outfit never fails to shock me or even shocked the whole human race!

Is her head dress and footwear are meat too? Eeeeeeewwww…When I bought meat at supermarket I chose those that are in packages already so that I won’t smell “meat” while doing my grocery. I really can’t stand to wear that outfit even if I’ll be paid a hundred thousand bucks! If it’s really meat, does it mean she smells awful after an hour?

Lady Gaga explains the meat dress’ message at Ellen DeGeneres Show (Sunday night after the VMAs) “Well, it is certainly no disrespect to anyone that is vegan or vegetarian. As you know, I am the most judgement-free human being on the earth. However, it has many interpretations. For me this evening, if we don’t stand up for what we believe in and if we don’t fight for our rights pretty soon, we’re going to have as much rights as the meat on own bones. And, I am not a piece of meat.”

Are you kiddin’ me?
