What a Girl wants on Valentine’s Day

My brothers used to seek my ideas on what’s the best Valentine’s gift they could give to their girlfriends. Well, they came to the right person who won’t let them down in times like this…LOL! Here are Valentine’s gift ideas to brighten your girls day up and make them feel special after all. Hope they could give you some clues to help you get it right this year and help you get your girlfriend to fall in love with you all over again… and I wish my hubby will read this one too…LOL!

1. Flowers, chocolates, cards and letters. This “gift package” is the usual V-day gifts but they always work for us girls. Just add on some creativity . We like nice flowers- fresh cut flowers like tulips, red roses or orchids are the favorites and the bigger the bouquet the better our response. White roses with a red bow are also unique. For chocolates, can we have something that we wouldn’t be able to buy on a regular basis? I won’t expect chocolate from my dearie. He knew how hard I’m trying to keep my weigh down…but I think a bite of it won’t hurt, right?

Girls like cards with letters on it but guys please put some effort on doing so. At least write a poem about us or point out why you love us. C’mon guys we need appreciation. We need to be reminded how once you’ve fallen for us:) BUT watch your grammar and make a sense in your artistic poetry or love letter and we will love it!

As for me, if my man show me some love and respect and appreciates me for who I am, tell me how much he loves me, then no matter what present he buys or how much he spend, I will love him just as much as if he had given me the sun ,the moon and the stars. Happy Valentine’s Day dear hubby Josh.

When I was assigned as an ESL teacher for high school novice monks in Alor Star, Malaysia, the one who’s assigned to drop and fetch me from the temple is a young pretty lady who’s driving a Dodge Ram Pickup truck. I feel very safe sitting up higher — the 20-inch wheels lift the car considerably from the stock version. I can see several cars ahead of us in traffic so this makes my pretty driver brakes early and avoid accidents. She has a big dog and it loves riding in the truck. Her truck has the sliding rear window which provides the dog with a safe place to stick its heads out, but the opening is too small for its bodies to fit, so she doesn’t have to worry about it jumping out. I also notice that people tend to move out of our way when she want to move over. We get tons of looks from men when she drives it. I think they enjoy seeing a woman drive a truck because I did.

That’s the start of my passion to own a truck one of these days. Nowadays, female-friendly features are being incorporated into more trucks or pick up trucks, such as adjustable brake and gas pedals, easier step-in and step-out, more storage compartments, bigger passenger cabins (for carrying children) and more car like “rides”. These features don’t detract from the toughness or solidity of the trucks; in fact, they improve truck driving for both genders.

What type of pickup trucks do women usually buy? What’s the best gps for trucks would you recommend? I’m eyeing for a Honda Ridgeline in white.

1. Do get celeb brows. Bring tear-outs from magazines to the salon just as you would do for hair. There’s some great brow-spiration in there!

I’m digging on Natalie Portman’s eyebrow! I’m comfortable with thinner brows like hers than those sexy high signature arch of Hayden Panettiere, Beyonce and Jennifer Lopez.

2. Do know how to find your best shades. Stick out your tongue-really!- and pick a matching lipstick color for a perfect natural hue. For eyes, look at the little flecks of color in your iris.

3. Do funk up a mani. Apply two coats of polish, tap a brush dipped in shimmer shadow over the second coat , dry and then topcoat.

1. Try a bold pedi. Now’s the time to test the waters on nail art.

If I got a chance, I’ll covet 2NE1′s Park Bom’s fierce nails! I absolutely love the zebra stripes nail art! These get double the points with the pink (do i need to emphasize here that it’s my fave color?) base she used.

Every Christmas, I made it a practice to give something to my girl friends as a way of letting them know that I remember them on this special holiday. I love giving and I never expected anything in return. Last year, I gave them memo pads with their beautiful faces and names on it.
